I am Greg Werner , I was the sole owner and operator of GW Custom Installations. In June of 2016 Mark Peterman joined me as a partner in this great endeavor

We will personally come out to your home to give you a detailed proposal, and We will be the ones doing the work. We will not make promises We cannot keep and We won’t offer our services for something we are not 100% confident in doing.

   We both have over 20 years experience in the hardwood flooring business and have seen and done probably every possible situation and scenario imaginable, from leveling and repairing 100+ year old floors in factory buildings and farm houses to exquisite new contemporary floors.

Our general process is a complete sanding of your floor including closets, corners, under kicks and radiators. We will cut the floor as many times as needed. No corners will be cut because it will show with the final product. The floor will be finished with 4 coats of one of the best comercial grade finishes on the market today. Don't be fooled by low priced contractors only putting down 2 coats of finish. It wont last!  

  We have a real passion for repairing old floors. From the selection of the wood to the gapping of the pieces during installation so they match the existing material. We take great pride in making repairs that are virtually invisible. We like to say “it looks like it grew there”

  Anyone can come in and say, you have an old maple floor and I can fix that. Are they going to find some actual old reclaimed material or find some Red Maple to match into the floor or are they just going to throw some new maple in the floor and say “you have a maple floor and I patched it with maple that’s what you get.” Or better yet they don’t take the time to figure out that they are repairing your white oak floor with red oak. In many of these cases the repair looks worse than it did before and also with many of these cases the installer didn’t know any better or worse yet didn’t care.

  We also enjoy creating custom trim pieces and thresholds to match up to adjacent floors. Throughout the years many houses have been remodeled numerous times leaving some very unique transitional situations. Many flooring companies think on one flat level, whereas with a little thought and ingenuity you could have a very appealing and Safe transition.

     We are also proficient in many other aspects of home repair and general maintenance from roofing, cleaning gutters and rubbish removal to painting and drywall repair.
